In the midst of the COVID-19 crisis in Chile, TeleMedCare is working with Fundación Chile to provide the elderly population with innovative technology: a smartphone device designed specifically with telemedicine in mind.

These devices, called Televínculos, are designed to help elderly people in an efficient and user-friendly way. They’re connected to a specialized hub for telemedicine in TeleMedCare Chile, which users can contact just by tapping a button on the touch screen.

Once activated, the user is in touch with teleoperators experienced in managing elderly patients. After making sure the user is not in an emergency situation, the operator can easily connect them with health, rescue, or security services in the vicinity in order to solve the problem at hand.

The Ministry of Social and Family Development in Chile (SENAMA) deployed a program using our simple but innovative mobile technology. This technology links elderly patients, who are especially vulnerable due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with specialized telecare support.

Many elderly people, especially those living alone, encounter difficulties accessing social and health care agents—need an easy and simple way to connect with these personnel. Through TeleMedCare’s technology, skilled operators are available at the push of a button to give them the support they need, whether that be health-related, emotional, or otherwise. Depending on the case, the user will be directed to the appropriate social, security, or health services.

This program is supported by Fundación Chile, Fundacion Metlife, and AFP Provida, who are using TeleMedCare’s advanced and innovative technology and services.

We at TeleMedCare are launching a remote chronic patient monitoring program with a top health insurance and health service provider in the U.S.

This company is present in five states and covers over 500,000 people. After a thorough evaluation of RPM companies, they are launching an RPM program with TeleMedCare based in Florida. The program is specifically aimed at their chronically ill patients.

The initial pilot phase is addressing 300 patients with chronic heart, respiratory, and metabolic conditions such as CHF, COPD, diabetes, and hypertension.
